I want my voice removed
If you were told that someone registered your voice with this service, this page is what to do next. It applies just as much if nobody told you — the right is the same either way.
What is stored
A few short recordings, plus the name and relationship the account holder typed in. The voice is used only to recognise who is speaking in a conversation, and it exists only inside that person's account. No other member can see it and there is nowhere public for it to appear. A voice recording is biometric data, which is why this page exists at all.
Making a synthetic voice that speaks as you is a separate feature, and it can only be done with the account holder's own voice.
How to have it removed
1.You can simply tell the person who registered it
They can delete it from their own account. That is the fastest route, and it tells us nothing about you.
2.Or write to us directly at support@syncyourmemory.com
Include the name you were registered under (or what you are called), and — if you know it — the name or email of the person who registered it. That is enough to find it. We will not ask why.
3.We check, then delete
The voice profile and every stored recording go. It cannot be recovered. We will tell you when it is done, and we do not keep the email address you wrote from afterwards.
Why there is no button here
A delete button on a page anyone can open is a button for deleting other people's voices. Some accounts hold the voice of someone who has died, so that button would be an irreversible harm waiting to be pressed. A person checks first instead — and the check asks only the minimum needed to be sure it is you.
Your other rights
How it is stored and which companies process it is set out in our privacy policy. You can also ask us what is held about you, at the same address.
