About
What is SyncYourMemory?
SyncYourMemory is a personal life-memory app: capture your memories in one place, let AI connect and search them, talk to your memories by voice, and (on paid plans) turn your photo into a living hologram twin. It is Korean-first and also supports English.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to gather their memories, knowledge, and life moments in one lasting place and find them again anytime.
Is anything public or shared with others?
No. Every memory is strictly private to your account. There is no public content, feed, or sharing between users — only you can see your memories.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — a free-forever plan. It includes capture, the knowledge graph, search, ask, and about 20 minutes of voice chat per month. With your own API key (BYOK) you can use it essentially without limits even on Free.
Getting started
How do I start?
Sign up, then write your first memory in a single line. The moment you save, it appears as a star (node) in your graph; as you add more, the AI automatically links related memories together.
What can I capture?
Text, photos, and voice. Notes, thoughts, people, places, events, projects — anything from your life. Photos can get an AI description so they become searchable.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It runs in your web browser on both desktop and mobile, and the same account shows the same memories on any device.
Which languages are supported?
Korean and English are fully supported. Other languages are available but are currently beta machine translations, so wording may be rough.
Features
What is the memory graph?
A screen that shows your memories as a 3D constellation, with related ones linked by lines so your memory reads as one living network. You can filter by era and search or ask within it.
What's the difference between 'ask' and 'search'?
Search finds memories by keyword; ask lets the AI answer in natural language grounded in your memories (e.g. "what did I do last summer?"). Both are included on Free.
What is voice chat?
Talking by voice with an AI that knows your memories. It's included on Free; monthly minutes depend on your plan (Free ~20, Pro ~200, Power ~520 min, approximate).
What is the hologram twin?
A paid feature: upload your photo and it becomes a background-removed sci-fi hologram figure that talks in your voice inside your memory constellation. Available on Pro and Power.
What are notes, projects, and conversations?
Different views of the same memories: notes as a list, projects grouped by ongoing work, and conversations where past voice chats are kept for review.
Plans & billing
What are the plans and prices?
Three: Free (free forever), Personal Pro (US$6.99/mo), and Power Pro (US$14.99/mo). Paid plans add the hologram twin, your own cloned voice, and more voice minutes and AI usage — both come with a 14-day free trial.
What's the difference between Pro and Power?
Same core features, higher limits. Power gives more voice minutes (~520/mo) and a more generous AI usage cap, aimed at heavy users.
How can I pay?
Credit/debit card (Stripe) and PayPal. We never store full card numbers; payments are handled securely by the payment processors.
What is BYOK (bring your own key)?
Register your own AI (e.g. Google Gemini) API key in Settings and AI usage is billed to that key, so you can use it without our usage caps even on Free. Keys are stored encrypted.
Is there a team or family plan?
For now we offer individual plans (Free, Pro, Power) only. Team/group (per-seat) pricing is in the works — contact us if you need it.
Trial, cancellation & refunds
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. You're not charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you won't be billed.
Can I cancel anytime? What happens then?
Yes, anytime. Cancelling simply moves your account to the free plan — all your memories stay stored and remain searchable, viewable, and exportable. Nothing is deleted.
Can I get a refund?
In most cases you won't need a refund — cancelling during the 14-day trial means you're never charged. If you have a billing problem, contact us at support@syncyourmemory.com.
Will I be reminded before the trial ends?
Yes. We email you as the trial nears its end, so you can cancel beforehand if you don't want to continue.
Privacy & data
Can staff read my memories?
No. By default no one reads your memory content. Only if you explicitly grant support access in Settings (a read-only window up to 48 hours, revocable anytime) can support view it — and every such access is recorded in an audit log.
Where and how is my data stored?
Data is isolated per account at the database level, and sensitive values like stored API keys are encrypted. We use a few trusted subprocessors for AI and voice processing (some in US regions) — the full list is in the Privacy Policy.
Which third parties process my data?
Hosting/auth (Supabase, Vercel), AI text·transcription·embeddings·hologram images (Google Gemini), voice synthesis·cloning (Supertone, ElevenLabs), real-time transcription (Deepgram), payments (Stripe, PayPal), and email (Resend).
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. In Settings → Danger zone you can export your data and permanently delete your account and all associated data anytime. Only you can delete it.
Is my data deleted if I'm inactive?
No. We never delete your data for inactivity or non-payment. Your memories stay for as long as your account exists.
Hologram & voice (biometrics)
How is my face photo handled?
If you use the hologram twin, a background-removed face image from your photo is stored in your account only and sent to Google (Gemini) to generate the hologram. It's processed only with your consent and can be deleted anytime.
How many times can I generate a hologram?
Because image generation has a cost, it's limited to 3 times per account per month. Re-submitting the same photo reuses the existing result instead of regenerating.
Can I delete my face and voice data?
Yes. Delete your face photo on the hologram page and your voice in Settings anytime; both are removed when you delete your account. When a paid plan ends, any voice clone created externally is deleted, while your enrolled voice samples remain so a clone can be recreated if you resubscribe.
Can I enrol someone else's voice?
The 'voice identities' feature lets you enrol another person's voice (e.g. a family member), but only with that person's consent. It is likewise treated as biometric data.
Security
Is my data kept secure?
Data is isolated per account at the database level and stored third-party API keys are encrypted. We use only essential first-party cookies (sign-in, language, theme) and no advertising or tracking cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect you.
Could I be hit with a surprise cost?
AI usage is protected by per-plan spend caps so shared-key usage can't run past its limit. If you want no cap, register your own key via BYOK.
Account & troubleshooting
Can I change my password or email?
Yes — change both in Settings. For sign-in trouble or a reset, use 'Forgot password?' on the login screen.
I can't sign in.
Check that your email and password are correct and use 'Forgot password?' to reset if needed. If you never got the confirmation email, try 'Resend confirmation'. Still stuck? Email support@syncyourmemory.com.
How do I permanently delete my account?
In Settings → Danger zone you can permanently delete your account and all associated data. This can't be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
Modern desktop and mobile browsers. The hologram and 3D graph use WebGL, so on very old or low-powered devices they may run slowly or fall back to a simpler view.
